As a 60 year old former athlete who participated in football, boxing, weight training, and other sports getting “rubdowns” and massages was nothing new to me. Over the past 22 years I’ve had 2 lumbar lumpectomies, a thoracic lumpectomy, and rotator cuff surgery on each shoulder. Needless to say there are times when I am in some pain.
After meeting and getting to know Grace I decided to treat myself to a massage. It was an incredible experience and after beginning to employ her nutritional strategy as well as physical well-being strategy I am extremely satisfied with the results I am seeing.
My most recent massage with Grace took place approximately 6 weeks after my thoracic spine surgery and I was a little bit concerned about whether my body was ready for a “rubdown”, however knowing and trusting Grace as a person and extremely dedicated and knowledgeable health care professional I decided to go for it. I have never, in all of my years, received a full body massage such as the one Grace gave me. Never once did I feel pain and I was very impressed with the manner in which she got my body, particularly my arms / shoulders area to stretch out.
I am currently considering cervical spine surgery to correct a neurological condition that has cause me to lose a large amount of muscle mass and strength in my arms and shoulders as well as a serious compromise in my range of motion. The day after my massage with Grace I was shocked to have absolutely no soreness and a wider range in motion in my shoulders and arms. I have been able to do mild strength training and although the improvement in my range has somewhat plateaued I know that the benefits I’ve derived are all because of Grace.
